Centaurea alpestre
£3.60
Ht. 40cm. Spr. 30cm. Pinkish-purple flowers. Hardy, herbaceous, clump-forming perennials for well drained soil and a sunny position. Most will tolerate hot/dry conditions and poor soils. The “Cornflower”-like flowers are composed of tubular, usually deeply lobed florets, the outer ones often longer and more spreading than the rest. Flowering time, summer. Good for attracting bees and butterflies.
