Anemone nemerosa "Wood Anemone"

A hardy. rhizomatous, colony-forming perennial for shady, wooded areas. Height 5-15cm. Spread 30cm.The white flowers, are 2-4cm in diameter and appear in spring and early summer. The deep-green foliage is rounded, 3-palmate with the leaflets further lobed and toothed. Prefers a humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in partial shade. (Drier conditions are tolearted when dormant in summer.)
